After a long eighteen hour flight, an hour going through Customs, and two hour drive stuck in traffic, I am finally HOME! I had such an amazing week in Hong Kong working with the J Brand Ready-to-Wear Team and am so lucky to have gotten to experience such a great opportunity. I can't wait to go back in March :)

Last Day in Hong Kong!

Today is my last day in Hong Kong and definitely was the longest day out of the week that I have been here. The stereotype that Asians are "bad drivers" isn't a stereotype over here...its a reality. Our driver was nuts! We were stuck in bumper to bumper traffic so he just drove on the emergency lane most of the way...no big deal. I definitely got the full package!

Shopping Day

Today we had a little play time and headed for some shopping at the mall at  Pacific Place! It was just a few blocks away from our hotel and boy was this mall huge! It is Hong Kong's best when it comes to shopping, attracting discerning shoppers with its wide array of international and creative luxury brands and two reputed department stores, such as Lane Crawford! My all time favorite store Marc by Marc Jacobs had a variety of Holiday dresses and festive jewelry. I can never walk out of that store empty handed. Here are a few items I purchased in Hong Kong:

We ended our day at the The STEAK HOUSE Winebar + Grill  ! You’ll be spoilt for choice at this steakhouse which not only prepares a variety of fine grilled steaks, but also has a wide selection of condiments for you to choose from. Before the steaks are served, the server presents you with twelve special blended mustards and eight exotic rock salts. You can hand-pick your favorite according to your choice of steak. For those who like to play around with knives, there is also a collection of ten knives for you to choose from. A steak dinner cannot go without a perfect glass of wine, so pick one from its wine bar, which features over 450 international fine wines.

We ended our first day with dinner at The Lobby Lounge. The Lobby Lounge, with its impressive wall of windows showcasing a mesmerizing panorama of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island, truly offers one of the world’s most magnificent views. It was a magnificent first day of work!
